LECOM Bradenton Wins Deans Challenge Cup
Students participate in ACOFP events

The Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) Bradenton claimed the inaugural Florida Society of American College Osteopathic Physicians (ACOFP) Deans Challenge Cup.


The Deans Challenge Cup was presented to LECOM at the ACOFP Gala at the Hyatt Grand Cypress Resort in Orlando on Aug. 2. The purpose of the Challenge Cup is to promote greater participation by medical students at the convention each year.

LECOM Bradenton bested Nova Southeastern University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine 103-81 to claim the top prize.
Students from both schools competed in an array of events including: A Fun Run/Walk, Pitch ‘N Putt Golf tournament and cooking demonstration. Students also participated in various conference exhibits, meetings and seminars.


The ACOFP sponsors up to 20 students each year to attend the conference and meet with a variety of medical and healthcare professionals.
